Marc Mywords plays drums and percussion. Marc and Steve grew up together in Reseda, California. Marc is a self-taught drummer and has been with the band since it started. Marc's influences include Graham Lear, Kenny Oronoff and Peter Cris. In 1999, when MCF opened for Blue Oyster Cult in Tacoma, Washington, Marc's drums caught on fire and the show had to be stopped. Marc suffered only minor burns but his drum kit was completely fried. In 1998, Marc had the Guiness World Record for loudest acoustic drum kit, but has since been eclipsed by Vinnie Abbott, drummer for Pantera.
